Why I'm Running

President John F. Kennedy once said, "One person can make a difference, and everyone should try."

As a proud graduate and lifelong student of Carlisle, I can firmly say we have excellent schools. I'm running because I want to maintain that excellence, as well as provide fresh leadership for the district and a unique perspective on the board. I have a passion for both education and public service, and my experience in youth advocacy and politics on all levels of government makes me well-equipped and prepared for the job.

I've grown upset and frustrated with the direction of public education, and I decided that I wanted to do something more about it. I want to continue serving students like I have before and fighting for education policy that I believe in. I want to offer a positive vision for our schools and the education in our community, and supply a new voice to ensure our school district is the best that it can be. We should be bold leaders in education and chart a course forward that will guarantee that each and every student that goes through Carlisle is successful!

There are issues I care deeply about, ideas I want to implement, and problems I want to be a part of solving. I want to serve the schools and the community that gave me so much, and I want every student to be as fortunate as I was to have incredible opportunities, amazing teachers, and a quality education because of Carlisle Community Schools. As a member of the school board, I would get the honor of helping be a part of every student's journey through our wonderful education system.

I'm running to represent students, fight for teachers, listen to parents and community members, and work with our administrative leaders to constantly improve our schools so we can offer the best public education possible to those that walk through our doors. I'm looking forward to meeting with you, listening to your thoughts, and earning your vote - I won't be able to do this without you!
